Dear NJAASC Membership, It is with deep sadness that we share the news of Jeff Shanton’s passing yesterday. Jeff was a prominent figure in New Jersey’s ambulatory surgery center industry and an ardent leader of NJAASC for many years. He served as NJAASC President for four years and was an active Board member for many years, as you know. Even after he served in these leadership roles, Jeff remained passionate about and unwaveringly committed to serving the membership and New Jersey ASCs more generally, always eager to share his knowledge and make personal and tireless outreach to our members. Quite simply, Jeff went above and beyond…every day.? During this time of mourning, our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to his family and many friends and colleagues, as well as all those within the ASC industry who knew him. NJAASC will honor Jeff at our Annual Conference in May, and we will soon share more details about how we as an industry can come together to honor his life and contributions. If you wish to share any memories of Jeff, please feel free to email us at?[email protected]. He will be greatly missed, but we will always remember and celebrate Jeff’s leadership and commitment to NJAASC.
