The New Hope-Solebury School District was honored as a Learning 2025 Lighthouse Demonstration System at this week's National Conference on Education, hosted by AASA, the School Superintendents Association. Recognized as a leader in preparing future-ready learners, NHSD was one of only six school districts recently acknowledged by the organization. Recognizing the need for our students to develop a better understanding of the world of work, New Hope-Solebury School District has developed a comprehensive series of offerings for students to develop the foundational skills required to ease their transition and be successful after graduation. Dr. Charles Lentz, superintendent, Dr. Rose Minniti, assistant superintendent, Dr. Amanda Benolken, director of education, and Ms. Sara Reeder, College & Career Readiness Counselor presented on our extensive career fairs, college and career pathways, career mentor opportunities, career speaker experiences, and partnerships with business and industry to provide students with exposure to the workforce. The conference, attended by thousands of educators from across the nation, focused on emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities in education, offering best practices, new resources, and data-driven insights to enhance student outcomes. A heartfelt congratulations to the entire New Hope-Solebury School District community for this prestigious honor!

Ms. Michelle Reynolds, Learning and Emotional Support Teacher at our Lower Elementary School, recently presented at the Attachment and Trauma Education Network's Trauma Sensitive School Conference in Atlanta where she shared expertise on 'Practical Insights into the Applied Educational Neuroscience Framework.' Additionally, Michelle was recently recognized by the NHSD Board of Directors for her outstanding work in social-emotional learning, particularly for helping with the implementation of our Amygdala Reset Stations, which provide students with a safe space to regulate their nervous system with the support of a trusted adult. NHSD will continued with the planned two-hour delay today, February 12. Busses will arrive two hours later than their normal time but please anticipate possible delays due to weather impact.

Due to the anticipated winter weather this evening, New Hope-Solebury School District schools and offices will open with a two-hour delay on February 12 in order to allow extra time for our school community to arrive safely. Please note that we will reassess the situation in the morning and provide updated communications if needed.

NHSD Alert: Due to the anticipated winter weather, all after school activities are cancelled for today, February 11. Please note however, that the Board Curriculum Advisory Committee and Policy Committee meetings will continue as scheduled but will transition to a virtual platform.
