New Harmony Line is pleased to announce that we have launched Hyperscore Challenge 2 (https://lnkd.in/gU7KUP8J)! With your signup for the Challenge you will receive the Hyperscore Classroom at no cost, along with bulk group registration and support from our CTO and myself (Director of Education). Everyone is invited from the individual composer to entire school districts, clinical settings and community groups. We are hoping to increase the number of participants from the 164 that took the challenge in 2024. Your subscription continues until International Make Music Day, June 21, 2025. Hyperscore downloads into standard notation (Flat.io is our favorite), so we'd love to know if you perform, or have someone perform, your piece. We will share any pieces submitted to me in our Hyperscore Challenge 2025 Gallery. Here is our 2024 Gallery (https://lnkd.in/gTwptVkg) with 52 pieces. Thank you to the Iowa Music Educator's Association Conference 2024 for allowing me to present "Hyperscore: Telling Your Story Through Music Composition" on 11.22.24. I really enjoyed meeting the participants and discussing many topics like 'attack and decay' vs. 'note length', as shown in the two shape choices of a Hyperscore pitch, or how to design a unit with older students. It was an hour well spent! If you haven't been following her work, she started her journey by creating Boomwhacker and recorder music for her students around their shared interest in space studies. Now, she's working with a researcher at the South Pole to write recorder pieces and songs about the Antarctic. She puts a big A in STEAM!! I look forward to working with her on a Hyperscore unit after the Polar STEAM project is on the books. Thanks Laurie!!

New Harmony Line's Director of Education, Cecilia Roudabush, will be presenting at the Iowa Music Educator's Association Conference on Friday, November 22nd at 2:30 pm. As a team, we have learned so much about what our cloud-based music composition application, Hyperscore, has to offer elementary and secondary general, adaptive and performance music programs.?We hope that conference members will share in our discussion of the importance of creativity and student-led music making in the music room!
