Day 4: Women in Construction - we are thrilled to highlight one of our Assistant Project Managers today! Chie DeFelice is and APM for our Millwork Division. When asked about her role in the construction industry, this is what Chie had to say: "3.5 years in the construction industry and loving every minute! I'm passionate about the blend of creativity and precision in millwork, especially seeing a project from start to finish. Empowering women in construction is something I'm proud of, and I love the challenge! My favorite project so far? The BU Data Science building in Boston. Day 3: Women in Construction - today we are highlighting one of our field crew members, Paulette Sparks. Paulette is a Apprentice on our drywall team. Paulette is new in the construction industry and shared the following with us: "It's been an amazing year in construction! I've enjoyed every project, especially because I started with limited knowledge, and have learned so much! I love seeing the results of my work in my city. My biggest passion outside of work is my family and my adorable dog. I also love to travel and shop. My biggest goal is to buy a house for my family. NEFS is proud to have been a part of this important project, working alongside Suffolk Construction and the other talented trade partners. It's truly rewarding to contribute to a project that will directly benefit patients and support the exceptional care provided by Beth Israel Lahey Health Exeter Hospital. Day 2: Women in Construction - highlighting one of our amazing female employees, Jennifer Leeman. Jennifer is an Assistant Project Manager for New England Finish Systems. Jennifer was asked to share a little about her experience within the construction industry: "This marks my 9th year in the construction world! What excites me most is the constant growth and learning. It's been an amazing journey breaking down stereotypes and proving myself in a male-dominated industry. I was told "sink or swim" early on, and I'm proud to say I'm thriving! A huge shoutout to those who've mentored me along the way, past and present. My favorite project so far? Definitely the LEGO Boston Hub – a dream come true for a LEGO lover!
