    Results from EMARKETER around MMM and measurement that I find VERY interesting and that our teams are solving every day for clients. Our Rapid MMM can often be turned around within 2-3 weeks (sometimes less) once clean data is ingested. And it's not just fast, it's comprehensive and accurate. We incorporate competitor data, macroeconomic data (like S&P500, Unemployment Rate, etc.), holiday and promotional data, non-media spend data like email, sms, etc. and more. Statistically the average R-squared of our models is above 87% with a MAPE below 10%. All of this is agnostic and fully transparent to all brands that engage with us. We share the data, the model outputs and more if a brand wants to validate. We are about growing brands and sometimes that means investing LESS in media spend that we manage.

    Let's check in on Reels... Reels now represent about 7-8% of spend across our client portfolio, up from about 2% last year: - On the high end, brands sit at 15-25% of spend in reels - On the low end, brands sit at 2-3% of spend in reels Facebook Reels are the big surprise, at least for me. Within our portfolio, Facebook Reels are close to 2x the volume of Instagram Reels. Feed still holds the crown, consuming 80% share of platform spend. But that is down from ~90% two years ago. Instagram Stories has locked in around the 10-12% range for the last year, with no clear upward trend. I would suspect the next 12-24 months brings us to 70% feed, 30% stories/reels/threads. My quick takeaways: 1) Reels will soon be 10%+ of Meta ad inventory - if you are not meaningfully invested in video yet, you need to be by Q1 2025. Native design is important, but not required to get live. 2) For brands spending heavily into Reels, I might look into breaking out this placement spend in your MMM or regression modeling. I'd be very curious to see how this specific variable predicts performance. 3) To accelerate investment in reels, you need to either a) target the placement separately in a dedicated campaign or b) go HARD on UGC/short form video (i.e. 50%+ of creative in this format) 4) A preview of Threads volume - if I had to make a prediction, Threads will own a 0.5-1% of Meta ad share by the end of 2025.
