As such, we are coming up fast on the National Renewable Energy Laboratory Industry Growth Forum (March 26-28) and Colorado Cleantech's Colorado Climate Week (March 24-26). New Day Hydrogen's COO, Buford Barr, will be participating in both events and will be on the "Hydrogen in the Rockies: From Vision to Infrastructure" panel at Colorado Climate Week. Monday was a great day to celebrate the hydrogen efforts here in Colorado! The CSU Energy Institute and National Renewable Energy Laboratory included New Day Hydrogen, Inc. in the tour of the CSU Powerhouse Campus for the DOE's Dr. Sunita Satyapal. Our CEO, Seth Terry, and COO, Buford Barr, were there along with our CSU partners Bret Windom and Andrew Zdanowicz to present the Hy-25 Project that was awarded the DOT's Charging & Fueling Infrastructure Grant to bring 3 hydrogen fueling stations to Colorado. Thanks to Bryan Willson and Hilary Klein, MBA for hosting and putting this on.
Dr. Sunita Satyapal, the director of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)'s Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office, toured the CSU Energy Institute and the Methane Emissions Technology Evaluation Center, Oct 28. Satyapal coordinates activities across the U.S. DOE Hydrogen Program. The visit showcased Colorado State University’s extensive research on hydrogen and other carbon-reducing energy technology. “It was great to visit Colorado State and see their state-of-the-art research facilities that are helping to supercharge innovation and progress in clean hydrogen technologies,” said Satyapal. “And it was inspiring to meet students and faculty at CSU conducting cutting edge hydrogen research supported by DOE.” Others on the tour included personnel from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, the?Colorado Energy Office, and?New Day Hydrogen, Inc., each a key partner in a collective effort to transform our energy system. The DOE visitors took particular interest in CSU’s collaboration with New Day Hydrogen to establish a hydrogen fueling station at the Powerhouse. This project is part of a larger state-wide effort to build stations across Colorado, and part of the national effort to decarbonize the energy sector. The U.S. Department of Transportation awarded CSU $8.9 million for that project earlier this year. https://lnkd.in/gXk34H4j

Our COO, Buford Barr, recently attended The American Association of State Highway & Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Equipment Management Technical Services Program (EMTSP) supporting Colorado State University's Andrew Zdanowicz in his presentation of the CSU/New Day Hydrogen Hy-25 Project that will establish three hydrogen fueling stations along the I-25 corridor in Colorado.
