Nevada Health Centers proudly participated in Community Health Provider Day on February 25th in Carson City! Hosted by the Nevada Primary Care Association, this annual advocacy event highlights the vital role of community health centers across the Silver State. Our NVHC team—representing pharmacy, the Foundation, and other key departments—engaged in 21+ meetings with legislators, advocating for policies safeguarding access to essential healthcare services. A primary focus? Protecting the 340B drug discount program—a critical initiative that enables NVHC and other community-based providers to offer life-saving medications at significantly reduced costs to those in need. Expanding access to care is integral to Molina Healthcare of Nevada's mission. In partnership with Nevada Health Centers (NVHC), we are working diligently to increase access to whole-person care that integrates physical and behavioral health services. Integrating physical and behavioral health care can improve health outcomes and streamline treatment processes for patients. Through a $150,000 grant partnership, we are helping NVHC increase access to integrated care by filling staff positions and providing more support for rural communities. Collaborations like these are integral in addressing the health care needs of our communities, and we are grateful for the work NVHC is doing to enhance services.
