Career day at Yvonne Shaw Middle School. Over 30 professionals presented... and of course I was the lone land surveyor/photogrammetrist. I spoke to three classes of middle school aged kids and no one knew what a land surveyor was. No shocker there. But they knew what drones, GPS, and lasers scanners were! So much outreach still to be done in the survey profession to bring awareness. Luckily I brought my Get Kids into Survey slides and posters to help.! #career #mentor #professional #surveyor #landsurveyor #gkis #photogrammetry #aerialmapping
