Neurotype Inc. is recruiting mock patients for a usability workshop focused on a new biofeedback device for Substance Use Disorder. The biofeedback device under development uses noninvasive brain sensors placed on the scalp, and a new software featuring biofeedback brain games. Eligible participants are required to take place in 20-40 hours of testing across multiple sessions. Having a current or prior Substance Use Disorder is not a requirement for participation, and the workshop will not collect health information. Dates: April 7-11 or April 14-18, 2025.? I am thrilled to see the growing recognition of Event-Related Potentials (ERPs, derived from EEG) as a promising and achievable key to advancing behavioral health treatments. Greg's article (linked below) on precision psychiatry highlights how brain-based measures like ERPs can enhance diagnosis and treatment in objective, reliable, data-driven terms—a vision we share at Neurotype Inc. and continue to pursue since 2019. We're actively using ERP technology to identify neurophysiological signatures in substance use disorders and other addictions, allowing us to personalize addiction treatments and improve outcomes.
