Make a strong recommendation. Own the outcome. The data has been clear for years—patients who engage in auditory training are more successful and more likely to use their hearing aids long-term. But here’s the key: how you present it matters. ?? “This might help, you could try it.” → Most patients won’t. ? “This is an essential part of your treatment.” → They follow through. Not everyone will do it, but the ones who do see the benefits. If you never introduce auditory training, you’ll never see the difference it can make—for your patients and your practice. Watch partner Dr. Layne Garrett from Timpanogos Hearing & Tinnitus explain.

Hearing aids don’t work if they sit in a drawer. Third-party studies found that when patients used Lace, hearing aid return rates dropped by up to 90%. Multiple studies—same pattern, same results. Why? Because Lace helps patients train their brains to make sense of sound. Instead of blaming their hearing aids, they take ownership, improve speech comprehension, and adapt faster. And considering that 10-20% of hearing aids go unused, reducing returns likely means more patients are actually wearing their devices—and benefiting from them. Did you know? The origins of Lace AI Pro are tied to the Grateful Dead. ???? Robert Sweetow, co-creator of LACE, was the audiologist for the legendary band. One day, a former Dead engineer called him up—not about hearing loss, but with an idea for a tinnitus project. Sweetow shot it down (because science), but in that conversation, he pitched something else: an auditory training program to help patients retrain their brains to hear better. That chance connection helped kickstart LACE with Jennifer Henderson Sabes, now the most research backed auditory training platform. Hearing aids amplify sound. Lace AI Pro helps you process it. Meet Celia—a patient who was frustrated with her hearing aids. Even the most sophisticated devices weren’t helping her understand conversations. Sound familiar? Celia’s breakthrough came when her audiologist introduced her to Lace auditory training. Lace helps train the brain to process speech more effectively, so patients: ? Struggle less in noisy environments ? Hear specific voices more clearly ? Feel more confident in conversations ? Get more out of their hearing aids And the best part? Just 15 minutes a day for 30 days can lead to lasting improvements. Studies show up to a 2.9 dB SNR improvement in QuickSIN scores, helping patients hear better in real-world situations. Hearing better isn’t just about volume—it’s about comprehension. How are you empowering your patients?

People who have a stronger working memory hear better in noise! It makes sense. If you hear part of a word or phrase in a noisy setting, you have to be able to “hold on” to what you have heard and do a database search in your mind to find a match to the word or the full phrase. You do this by using the context. If you can “hold on” for longer (= working memory), you have an advantage!

The The New York Times just reported on the alarming rise in dementia cases, projecting diagnoses in the U.S. will double by 2060. With hearing loss identified as a significant risk factor, addressing hearing health has never been more critical. To combat the growing dementia crisis, hearing health must be approached holistically. Hearing aids amplify sound, but auditory training—like Lace AI Pro—transforms how that sound is processed and understood. Together, they create a comprehensive solution that supports both the ears and the brain, empowering individuals to stay connected, engaged, and cognitively healthy. Auditory training isn’t just an add-on; it’s an essential tool for reducing the risks of isolation and cognitive decline, equipping patients to not only hear but to truly listen, connect, and thrive—laying the groundwork for better cognitive and overall health long term. → Learn more about Lace AI Pro and our approach to auditory training: https://lnkd.in/gXFWERqB #HearingHealth #DementiaPrevention #AuditoryTraining #CognitiveHealth #Audiology #Hearing #Longevity
