A reminder of this great lecture by David Eagleman, titled "Livewired: The Inside Story of the Ever-changing Brain," on January 30th, at the Rice University School of Engineering and Computing. This lecture is open to the public and we would love to see attendees from outside Rice. With this inaugural Raleigh W. Johnson, Jr. Lecture series, we're kicking off a year of celebrations of our school's 50th anniversary.

Interest in how #neurotechnology connects with human spaceflight missions? ?? Longhorn Neurotech at UT Austin is proud to host a special guest speaker session featuring Dr. Scott Wood from NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration. Dr. Scott Wood is a NASA Senior Scientist and Neuroscience Laboratory Director for the Human Health and Performance Directorate at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. He is also the co-lead of Crew Health Countermeasures activity for the Mars Campaign Office (MCO) which is charged with developing technologies and countermeasures for exploration missions. Also, Dr. Wood will talk about internship opportunities, so don't miss this event! Longhorn Neurotech is looking forward to collaborating with NASA Neuroscience Division and Neurotech@Rice in the future and how neurotechnology could help human risk management and performance! Special thanks to Tony Chae, a former NASA intern, for helping to bring this event to Longhorn Neurotech! Stay tuned for more details, and we look forward to seeing you there!
