  • Here is our first version of the Strengths-Based IEP made by our co-founder. Lana Kristine Jelenjev using the SOAR method. The SOAR framework consists of four key components: two current (strengths and opportunities) and two future-focused (aspirations and results). It is an appreciative inquiry process that asks generative questions to encourage?people to voice their feelings and thoughts about what really matters.? ? STRENGTHS:??What is already going strong? OPPORTUNITIES:?What are the possibilities? ASPIRATIONS:??What are our dreams or wishes? RESULTS:??What are meaningful outcomes? ? PDF VERSION WITH 11 PAGES. You can download the IEP for FREE here https://lnkd.in/e-Vhp94Q If you are interested in applying more strengths-based practices in your organization, do get in touch. We provide trainings and workshops for schools, businesses and organizations.

Do join us for our first NEA Community Session in the new timeslot on Thursday, 27th of March at 16:00 CET. We are not only changing the time of these meetings but also the concept.. Moving forward, we will present an educational piece that will be added to our online NEA resources, and then there is an opportunity to engage in group coaching. Among other things, we will also be talking about how (peri) menopause affects people with ADHD Sign up here: https://lnkd.in/ehzG3ad5

  • "Celebrate every win, no matter the size." Your brain thrives on rewards. Each time you celebrate a success, no matter how small, your brain releases dopamine, reinforcing the habit and making it more likely that you’ll continue that behavior. For neurodivergent individuals, who may struggle with motivation or executive function, celebrating progress is essential for building confidence and sustaining long-term habits. By creating a ritual around celebration, you intentionally recognize your achievements, which helps rewire your brain to seek out and appreciate progress rather than perfection. A celebration ritual doesn’t have to be big—it just has to be meaningful to you. Excerpt from: YOUR BRAIN, YOUR FLOW: Cultivating Habits, Routines, Rituals, and Rhythms That Work #YourBrainYourFlow

  • "Joy fuels productivity." Starting with something enjoyable makes your brain more receptive to work and focus. That’s because fun triggers the release of dopamine, which not only makes you feel good but also enhances motivation, creativity, and cognitive flexibility. For neurodivergent individuals, who may struggle with task initiation, adding an element of fun can make routines feel less like a chore and more like something to look forward to. Neuroscience shows that when the brain anticipates a reward, it becomes more engaged in the activity. This is why pairing enjoyable activities with necessary tasks can make it easier to start and maintain routines. By prioritizing joy at the beginning of a routine, you prime your brain to be in a positive state, making it easier to tackle harder tasks and sustain focus for longer periods., your brain’s reward system gets activated, making it easier to tackle harder tasks. Fun doesn’t just make routines better—it makes them stick. Excerpt from: YOUR BRAIN, YOUR FLOW: Cultivating Habits, Routines, Rituals, and Rhythms That Work #YourBrainYourFlow

    The Evolutionary-Stress Framework

In honor of Neurodiversity Week and the importance of inclusivity, today, March 17th, we recognize Autistics with Profound Trade-Offs as part of the conversation on neurodiversity. Often categorized under “Profound Autism,” these individuals experience unique challenges that demand a more nuanced and adaptive framework—one that moves beyond outdated labels of severity and instead focuses on energy, stress, and metabolic regulation as key factors in support needs. Understanding neurodiversity means acknowledging all expressions of autism, from those who with lower or less obvious needs to those who require 24/7 care. As we continue to challenge traditional models of pathology, we must ensure that profound trade-offs are understood through the lens of complexity evolution, emergent allostasis, and adaptive calibration—not as deficits, but as part of the dynamic spectrum of human function. Today, let’s explore how embracing all forms of neurodiversity, including those with profound support needs, strengthens our collective understanding of health, stress adaptation, and human resilience. #ProfoundAutism #ProfoundAutismDay #Neurodiversity #NeurodiversityWeek

  • "Your environment shapes your energy." Your environment has a direct impact on your brain’s ability to focus, process information, and regulate emotions. For neurodivergent individuals, sensory input can either be grounding or overwhelming, depending on the surroundings. A sensory-friendly space helps reduce sensory overload and creates a supportive environment where your brain can function at its best. Neuroscience shows that external stimuli—such as lighting, noise, and textures—can affect the way the brain processes information. When a space feels chaotic or overstimulating, the brain may struggle with focus, emotional regulation, or even simple decision-making. Creating an environment that suits your sensory needs helps your nervous system feel safer and more at ease, making it easier to be productive and engaged in what matters most. Making small changes to match your sensory needs can help you feel less overwhelmed and more focused.
