Starting his journey as a runner, Eric’s hard work and talent have propelled him to Director of Project Management, where he has led some of our most significant projects, including Huntington Tower, and currently the Water Square developments. Throughout his career, Eric has exemplified remarkable talent and commitment, contributing to projects like Central Michigan University Student Housing and the Beverly Center. Beyond his professional achievements, Eric has made a lasting difference through his involvement in our community service team, and it’s here at Neumann/Smith where he met his wife of 18 years. Featured in FLOOR Trends & Installation / BNP Media’s 5,000-square-foot headquarters embraces the modern hybrid work model while honoring their history in print. Our interior design team chose wood-look LVT by Shaw Contract, installed in a herringbone pattern, and textured carpet by Interface creating a welcoming, hospitality-inspired atmosphere. The space is further elevated by wall tile from Virginia Tile Company and Olympia Tile+Stone Inc., with custom millwork throughout, thoughtfully crafted to celebrate BNP Media’s legacy in publishing. Detroit Month of Design / The sleek design of The Residences Water Square embraces an elongated form, highlighted by metal fins that rhythmically divide the exterior glazing, offering a subtle nod to the shape of a key when viewed from a distance. At night, the pointed roofline illuminates the amenity spaces that crown the building. The crisp modern fa?ade features glazing selected to mirror the river's tonality, while cast-in-place concrete columns provide a contrast to the sleek metal panels and curtain wall. Metal accents also define the base of the tower, enhancing the visual connection to the pool and fitness center balcony, while anchoring the design within the city. This design is part of a broader vision to revitalize the riverfront alongside the new Hotel Water Square, creating a seamless integration with the city and the waterfront. Greater Midland Community Center / Designed as a modern building, with a nod to Midland’s mid-centruy modern design aesthetic, GMCC prioritizes inclusivity, spatial efficiency, natural light and wayfinding. The new facility, attached to the existing curling center, provides amenities for all ages with three wings connected by a central concourse. The ECE Wing, with a separate secure entrance, offers nine classrooms, a mini-gym, offices, and secure outdoor play areas. The Community Wing has a senior center / community room, reservable party rooms, a child watch room, youth room, classrooms, and 24/7 fitness space. We are proud to celebrate the grand opening of The Apex, a 368,000 square foot, 5-story development that represents the pinnacle of collaboration and design. From the curated art to the 212 luxury units, every detail was crafted to elevate the living experience in West Bloomfield. The grand entrance welcomes residents with a striking 10-foot stainless steel sculpture, while standout amenities include dedicated coworking offices, club rooms, community spaces, fitness center, and an outdoor amenity deck with a pool. Detroit Month of Design / September Feature The Huntington Tower rooftop is designed for entertaining, featuring multiple gathering zones, an elevated amenity deck, a seasonal event space, and an informal area within the glass tower. The design emphasizes the building’s raw elements while incorporating the brand’s signature green, seen throughout the lighting, pergolas, furniture, and tray ceiling. Employees or event attendees can enjoy panoramic views of downtown Detroit—with the added feature of movies or sporting events projected on the tower’s side—creating a vibrant and inviting atmosphere for events and gatherings.
