Barb Noel, a dedicated Neuhaus Adult Literacy volunteer, received the Literacy Texas Volunteer Excellence Award for her exceptional work teaching adults working to improve their literacy skills. Her ability to connect with each student and create a positive, supportive environment, along with her infectious enthusiasm for their progress, makes her an outstanding volunteer. She is a Certified Academic Language Therapist who volunteers her expertise to help adult learners. Through one-on-one support, she builds their confidence and transforms their approach to reading, shifting them from guessing to understanding.
