Amplifying Our Impact Together

关于我们

The Network of Jewish Human Service Agencies was formed in January 2017 when the two leading Jewish services organizations – the Association of Jewish Family and Children’s Agencies (AJFCA) and the International Association of Jewish Vocational Services (IAJVS) – joined forces. The Network is a membership association of more than 170 non-profit organizations in the United States, Canada and Israel. Its members provide a full range of human services for the Jewish community and beyond, including healthcare, career, employment and mental health services, as well as programs for youth, family and seniors, Holocaust survivors, immigrants and refugees, people with disabilities and caregivers. The Network strives to be the leading voice for this sector, to be the go-to place for innovation, best practices, collaboration and advocacy, as well as to strengthen agencies to better serve their communities.

  • One of the most impactful aspects of this journey has been the opportunity to serve and connect with diverse communities. From spending time with Ethiopian immigrants in Rishon LeTzion to supporting local gardens, we've had the chance to engage deeply with those making a difference on the ground. Alongside these experiences, we also immersed ourselves in the cultural richness of Israel, learning from local traditions and people who have shaped the country’s history and culture. Whether through the Ethiopian coffee ceremony or the stories of resilience shared by local families, each moment has deepened our understanding of community, history, and the power of human connection. This journey is made possible by Birthright – creating opportunities for connection, education, and growth. #Birthright #CulturalExchange #CommunityService #Learning #Connection

  • This journey has been marked by moments of reflection, grief, and tremendous resilience. We’ve had the honor of visiting memorial sites like the Nova Festival memorial, where the weight of loss was palpable. Yet, amidst the sorrow, we also witnessed incredible strength, from people sharing stories of survival and courage to communities coming together to honor lives lost. Through every encounter, we’ve seen how healing comes in many forms—whether through working alongside those who’ve been displaced or engaging in conversations that nurture collective resilience. These powerful moments have taught us the importance of honoring memories while also planting seeds for renewal and growth. This journey is made possible by Birthright – creating opportunities for connection, education, and growth. #Birthright #CommunityHealing #Resilience #Memorial #Renewal

  • Our time in Israel has been nothing short of transformative. This journey has provided deep opportunities for connection, healing, and growth. From engaging in meaningful trauma training with local professionals to participating in hands-on projects that aim to support and renew communities, every experience has deepened our understanding of resilience and the power of collective action. Whether through the shared experiences at NATAL’s trauma-informed spaces or helping plant trees for displaced residents in Kibbutz Hatzerim, each day has brought us closer together, reminding us of the importance of healing and rebuilding after tragedy. This journey is made possible by Birthright – creating opportunities for connection, education, and growth. #Birthright #HealingJourneys #CommunitySupport #Resilience #Connection

Accompanied by a group of 21 dedicated clinicians from across North America, this experience is centered on cultural connection, learning, and contributing to impactful mental health and community well-being programs. Orientation and Arrival The journey began with an insightful orientation at the hotel, where the group gathered to set intentions and prepare for the impactful experiences ahead. Guided by Limor Schwartz and the group’s knowledgeable leader, the clinicians felt energized and excited about the meaningful work awaiting them. Hands-On Healing at Ruca Farm The clinicians spent their first full day at Ruca Farm, a therapeutic sanctuary dedicated to supporting veterans with PTSD. Veterans volunteer at the farm while also benefiting from group therapy, yoga, acupuncture, and more.
