The Director will oversee the Network’s Health Equity Team which is committed to advancing health and social justice in communities by using law and policy to improve health outcomes for traditionally under-resourced communities and populations.?The Health Equity Director will oversee research and assessment of equitable laws and policies; identify legal and policy barriers and facilitators that advance health and racial health equity; facilitate connections between governmental organizations and communities; and identify and develop best practices for using law and policy to promote health equity within the critical contexts of structural racism and other social determinants of health. J.D. from an accredited law school is required. ? I keep saying it's been like giving birth to a child...well, maybe that's a bit much. But does feel very significant to share the results of a 3-year labor of love to create legal data for researchers who can use it to create an evidence base for best practices in road safety. AI technologies are transforming school health services, offering potential benefits such as improved student well-being, better mental health monitoring, chronic disease management, and enhanced administrative processes. Key AI tools in school health include machine learning for predictive analytics, natural language processing (NLP) for personalized learning and mental health support, computer vision for student engagement and diagnostics, and wearable devices for real-time health monitoring. However, challenges remain, including data privacy concerns, the risk of AI biases, and equity issues. Ensuring ethical use and data security is essential as AI becomes more integrated into school healthcare systems. Dang, JD; Darlene Huang Briggs, JD, MPH; and April S., highlights the detrimental impact of immigration executive actions on public health. These actions, including efforts to expand federal immigration enforcement, restrict sanctuary policies, and cut funding to immigrant-supporting organizations, create fear and uncertainty in immigrant communities. They also threaten access to essential services like healthcare, social services, and education, especially in protected areas such as health facilities and schools.
