Marple at Daytona 24h! ??? This year’s Daytona 24h brought incredible challenges and thrilling moments. Behind the scenes, Marple played a pivotal role in enabling multiple teams to push their limits and finish the race. Using our Marple DB and Marple Insight solutions, we provided ultra-fast data analysis during the race, delivering insights in under 300 milliseconds from car telemetry to actionable data. Engineers both at the track and across the world could access the data instantly, enabling seamless collaboration and decision-making throughout the intense 24-hour race. The screenshot below illustrates the type of insights engineers relied on during the event. Last week, we had a terrific time with the whole team at Munich! We visited some of our customers and partners (DeepDrive, Reply) and even had a tour around the facilities of Lilium. Between our visits, we also had time to visit some of Munich’s winter markets, and trying out the waterslides in the Erding baths! Even our investor Willem from Network Venture Partners joined us for a few days. We are picked up lots of new ideas, and are ready to give our best in 2025.

? Throwback to last Friday! We're off to another exciting year of our Tech Entrepreneurship course at Ghent University. After kicking off with inspiring talks from De Versbox and Move Like Jagger & WHYFIVE in the first session, we continued strong last week with two exceptional guest speakers providing invaluable insights to our students. A huge thank you to: ??Frederik De Witte for sharing the remarkable journey of FleetMaster - from a UGent student project to a global scale-up and successful exit. Frederik's story was particularly powerful as it showed our students a tangible example of how their own projects could evolve into successful ventures. ?? Petra Truant for introducing us to SPOTWATCH - a brilliant example of technology addressing critical healthcare needs. In a world where many of us know individuals affected by cancer, some of which unfortunately diagnosed too late, Spotwatch's AI-powered skin scanning solution offers hope. De ochtendstond heeft goud in de mond. Vandaag trekken we in Marifish.Inc incubator onze #coaching boot vroeg op gang. Met mijn ondernemers-vrienden Dominique Adriansens en Willem Dumon starten we de dag met challenge op het SaaS business model van vision3F BV. Founders Hans van Soest en Pieter Spelmans hebben met hun start-up Vision3F een hardware en software oplossing ontwikkeld om het mortaliteitscijfer binnen zalmkweek te reduceren. 'Ik ben niet aan dit bedrijf begonnen met het idee dat ik schatrijk moest worden', zegt hij in onze rubriek Jong Geweld. ?? 'Ik geloof niet zo in van die grootse langetermijnplannen. Missie en visie, goed en wel, maar ondernemen is vaak toch vooral een kwestie van voortschrijdend inzicht. Lanceren, evalueren, en bijstellen waar nodig.'

Vers geld voor Marple, Antwerpse start-up ontstaan in formule 1 ??? Marple, gespecialiseerd in software voor data-analyse, haalt extra geld op bij het durffonds Birdhouse Ventures, imec.istart en de nieuwe investeerder Network Venture Partners. Marple werd in 2020 opgericht door de ingenieurs Matthias Baert en Nero Vanbiervliet. Baert werkte als ingenieur voor het formule 1-team van Mercedes. Hij stelde vast dat er zelfs in de erg geavanceerde autosportdiscipline een gebrek was aan goede software om de verzamelde data van de wagens effici?nt te organiseren en te analyseren. ??
