Our instructors bring the heat to submarine training!
As part of the MyNavy HR Team, Naval Education and Training Command (NETC) is the largest shore command in the Navy with more than 24,000 military and staff personnel at more than 1,640 subordinate activities, sites, districts, stations, and detachments throughout the world. As the owner of the Force Development pillar within MyNavy HR, NETC recruits, trains and delivers those who serve our nation, taking them from "street to fleet" by transforming civilians into highly skilled, operational, and combat ready warfighters. We owe the fleet the very best in recruitment and training delivery. To provide the best in an increasingly competitive talent market, Navy Recruiting interacts daily with more than 10,000 civilians interested in potential careers with the Navy. On any given day, roughly 37,000 Sailors are learning at one of 251 NETC training sites, all while the Navy is modernizing with emerging technology and new concepts.

Today, the Navy Supply Corps School proudly observed Native American Heritage Month with a special event hosted by our Heritage Committee. The presentation highlighted the rich history, enduring resilience and significant contributions of Native Americans to our nation and military. From the pivotal role of the Navajo Code Talkers in securing victory during WWII to the remarkable statistic that Native Americans serve in the military at the highest per capita rate of any ethnicity (1.7%), their legacy of service runs deep. To date, 27 Native Americans have been awarded the Medal of Honor for extraordinary acts of valor. ENS Ross Bolin, a proud member of The Chickasaw Nation and a student here at the schoolhouse, shared a summary of his tribe’s heritage and history, which added a personal and inspiring touch to the event. We honor and thank Native Americans for their invaluable contributions to our Navy, military and nation. #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth #USNavy #LeadershipThroughHeritage #whatrightlookslike

?? Enhancing Sailor Readiness with Advanced Training ?? The Center for Security Forces (CENSECFOR) has successfully piloted Phase II of the Basic Small Craft Operator (BSCO) course, held at Learning Site Little Creek in Virginia Beach, VA! This hands-on course provides Sailors with the essential skills and knowledge needed for craft-specific qualifications, strengthening fleet readiness and safety. "Revisions to the course schedule have greatly improved training effectiveness, allowing Sailors to apply classroom concepts in real-world environments much sooner," said David Postupack, Small Boat Program Manager at CENSECFOR. BSCO Phase I covers foundational seamanship, navigation, and boat handling, while Phase II builds on these skills through intensive lab and ocean training. Graduates of both phases are set to test for the Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessels certification, a key qualification for Navy small craft operators. Future plans include expanding small boat training to intermediate and advanced courses, tailored to evolving fleet requirements, with a focus on reducing incidents and enhancing Sailor proficiency in diverse maritime environments. #USNavy #Training #SecurityForces #SailorDevelopment #FleetReadiness
