Behind this delicate balancing act is N.E.S. Inc. founder, Nolan E. Schriner. In 1978 Schriner left his position as Land Development Manager for the City of Colorado Springs to start his own land planning firm. Today, N.E.S. Inc. is responsible for the planning of 50,000 acres of land and about 80,000 residential units in Colorado Springs and the Rocky Mountain region. N.E.S. Inc. is comprised of a team of professionals with master's degrees in city planning and landscape architecture, as well as computer support specialists and administrative staff. Hundreds of clients turn to us for site inventory, site and environmental land suitability analysis; master, concept, development and landscape plans; study model creation; and participation in the city development review process. With more than 60 years of combined principal experience and a history of award-winning design, N.E.S. Inc. represents its clients' needs to city staff, elected and appointed officials, and neighborhood groups.

Congratulations Andrea Barlow!
We were excited to celebrate the installment of 2025 HBA President, Andrea Barlow of N.E.S. Inc, and 2025 President-elect, Loren Moreland of Classic Homes last week. We also took the opportunity to welcome Marla Novak as our new Executive Officer.
