This is the first time I feel like I should put a warning label on my selfie. How I took it will creep you out. To take this pic, I pressed a practically invisible button on my new Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses. An indicator light flashed for a micro second, not long enough for anyone to notice. You can see the white light on the right corner of the glasses. And poof. I have a picture, snapped so subtly and swiftly that unsuspecting subjects might never know. We know what’s happening when someone pulls out a camera and points it at you. But it’s very weird that someone could just walk around taking photos and videos with no one knowing. Photography is just one of its many features. I’m exploring the embedded #ai, #livestreaming, audio and more. Stay tuned for more updates. But I keep snapping pics of people then telling them about it, and everyone is kind of creeped out. Have you seen these in the wild? Would it creep you out?

This article is about meetings, but what about events? Are you still doing a lot of Zooming? I’ve presented online a bunch this month. I’m probably 2/3 in person and 1/3 online in 2024, and more of my programs were in person last year. That tells me that last year people were “over” webinars, but there’s more of a balance this year. What are you seeing?
