NemaLife's mission is to accelerate and de-risk R&D for companies in the food, nutraceutical, microbiome and pharma industries. In these industries, performing human-relevant high throughput biology and doing so with efficiency and speed has been a mutually exclusive affair. NemaLife has solved this major challenge by developing an AI-assisted microfluidics-based in vivo platform based on the microscopic worm C. elegans that has strong relevance for human biology. This 3R-compliant cruelty-free technology capable of testing a variety of compounds and their combinations is an alternative to expensive and time-consuming mouse models. We work with companies as their R&D partner, accelerating the value-chain from early-phase discovery to assessment of product potency and health claims. Exciting news that our C. elegans microbiome experiment on the International Space Station is confirmed for SpaceX32 launch in April, 2025. In this #nasa-funded space biology experiment, four university labs are coming together to investigate the effect of gut microbiome on the physiology and molecular changes in C. elegans due to microgravity. These investigations will help us understand how the extreme environment of deep space affects the gut microbiome and host physiology, lending to next generation probiotics to improve human health. Thanks to all the collaborators from Texas Tech University, Baylor College of Medicine Rutgers University and Ohio University, Principal investigators Nathaniel Szewczyk Buck Samuel @Monica Driscoll and the entire CBIOMES team for this wonderful collaboration!
