NEMA Management's Lori Woolworth and Belle Farish had the opportunity to attend Community Home Trust's film showing of "Land, Trust, and Resilience: The Road to Staying Home. " The film, and panel discussion held afterwards, was incredibly moving. It gave face to the complications of offering, maintaining, and obtaining access to affordable housing, as well as inspired many in the audience that "where there is a will, there is a way." We are extremely thankful for partners like Community Home Trust whose efforts and dedication to strengthening our community is immeasurable. #buildingcommunity #affordablehousing #supportlocal

Fantastic post and video highlighting this community, WithersRavenel! NEMA Management is proud to be apart of this team and we would also like to recognize Mason Colley, PMP for his contribution to the project as the owner's representation for the program and project management. The multiple phases for this project have been navigated with his leadership in construction management. #ownersrepresentation #projectmanagement #constructionmanagement

North Carolina winters typically impact construction schedules and safety through it's high rainfalls, unpredictable icy conditions, and temperatures that can drop below 30 degrees for days to weeks, inevitably halting jobsite activities (i.e. concrete pours, sealant and paint applications, excavation, roofing, etc.). Mitigating risks for winter conditions require a combination of planning, proper equipment, pre-established safety procedures and training. Many General Contractors and Construction Management firms track the weather through forecasts and the farmer's almanac to anticipate weather conditions for scheduling tasks. Other practices to reduce risk on the jobsite include following de-icing procedures, renting cold-weather equipment or tire and tracking adjustments on jobsite equipment, warm/insulated PPE for the labor staff, tarps or heating blankets for temperature sensitive materials, non-slip mats, back-up power, and site access control. Once the weather has either a series of sunny days with temperatures above 32 degrees, contractors will review the master schedule with subcontractors to confirm if stacking work activities or outside of normal working hours (i.e. 10 hour work days or weekend/ holiday work) can be explored to make up loss in schedule. If you have a project that you would like NEMA to discuss with you, then let us know! We'd love to chat with you on how we can help.

Rain or snow, you can't keep the NEMA Management team from a great time! We came together with our families at the PNC arena for the Hurricane's game this past Friday to celebrate the close of 2024. There is so much to be grateful for regarding this team, the big win for the 'canes, and the trip home safely during the icy storm. We are excited and eager to take on all that 2025 brings! #newyear #teambuilding

Rob Everett and Wayne Felton, PE attended the renaming of the Carolina Mudcats to the Wilson Warbirds on November 22nd at the airfield in the City of Wilson. The new name of the MiLB team is a tribute to North Carolina's history with WWII aircrafts and a nod to Vollis Simpson, a local legend who also served and created windmills from parts of B-29 Superfortress Bombers during WWII. We can't wait to see the Warbirds play in 2026 with their new name. To learn more check out: https://lnkd.in/eMZzkgEh -and- https://lnkd.in/eDPqjKzN

The Town of Apex has a lot going! We are extremely grateful to be a part of this community building effort and look forward to seeing how the spaces get developed and interwoven with our current and upcoming projects.
In 2009, a developer first pitched $3B project for Apex. It broke ground this month. https://lnkd.in/e37FCG5F NEMA Management is excited to be a part of the team. Looking forward to many years of working together with so many great partners to collectively deliver this amazing project!

NEMA Management is proud to be a part of this team. Many thanks to The H. Chambers Company, McDonald York Building Company, KLB CONSTRUCTION SERVICES LLC, Crenshaw Consulting Engineers, BASS, NIXON & KENNEDY CONSULTING ENGINEERS and many others for getting North Ridge Country Club | Raleigh to this historic milestone.
Exciting news—North Ridge Country Club | Raleigh is getting a new Wellness & Golf Services Center! The first step in this project was to set up a temporary cart storage facility and install the necessary infrastructure to keep the club fully operational during construction. Demolition of the existing cart storage building is under way! Next we'll begin construction on a brand-new, 25,000-square-foot, two-story wellness and cart?facility. We're thrilled to bring this fantastic upgrade to North Ridge for all members to enjoy! #constructionmanagment #constructiondemolition #countryclubrenovation

NEMA Management is a small local firm who takes pride in investing in our local economy and being collaborative. Our office meets weekly to discuss project updates. This fosters continuous support to each of our team members by providing collaboration of critical thinking on project issues. Additionally, it allows one of our team members to easily step into a project should the project manager assigned to a project require time off. Recently, we met after hours at one of our previous projects to discuss this year's holiday gifts. Given our office mission, we decided the best gift to our partners and ourselves during the season of giving would be a large charitable donation to Western North Carolina in support of communities who have been devastated by Hurricane Helene. We also selected Raffaldini Winery and Powell & Stokes Inc./Bertie County Peanuts to further invest in North Carolina businesses.
