2024 has been quite the year for me: April: Resigned from my FT job to focus on my #voiceover business April: Interviewed for a segment on #AutismAwareness & #AutismAcceptance month that aired on News 12 New Jersey May: Worked a New York Football Giants celebrity softball game at Clover Stadium July: Named the new PA Announcer for the New York Boulders, an independent professional baseball team, which gives me year-round announcing for the first time in years!! August: Completed my first #voiceover project as of earlier this week. They put the video with my voice on their YouTube channel shortly after I sent my audio files. This wasn't a sports announcing gig and it gives me the confidence to know that I can do more with my voice Wait, there's something better... I got paid a day after turning the job around and the client left the following feedback: Thank you for your work.?It was as follows: Excellent Read Great Timing Well Done More projects to come with this client!! A couple of weeks ago, I went to a holiday party hosted by a Chamber of Commerce I hadn't visited at the time. It was at the State Theater, about 10 minutes away from my apartment by foot. I didn't know what to wear, so I threw on a polo and khakis only to realize that I was the most underdressed individual in attendance. After grabbing food at the buffet, I went to a hi-top table by myself and someone eventually came over to chat, but we had an awkward conversation. Moments later, a couple of people invited me to join them at their table. They were from OceanFirst Bank and recently opened a new location in my town (I can walk there ??). I told them about my live event announcing experience and my goals of expanding my #voiceover business into more genres. The interaction felt natural to the point that they wanted to help. As a result of that night, I have a new set of a bank accounts with a new bank, both business and personal. I have a new set of debit cards with some credit cards on the way. Most of all, they treated me like I was part of their family. Thanks to Tania Lopez and her team of personal bankers for convincing me to make the transition from one bank to another.
