The Honorary Commander Program pairs influential community leaders with base commanders to foster mutual understanding, collaboration and support. Every month we host rejoins where honorary commanders get firsthand insights into Nellis' diverse and cutting-edge missions. At our most recent rejoin, we explored the Halo car, an innovative, self-driving vehicle with remote operations capability. This technology has the potential to revolutionize DoD logistical operations, offering new ways to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and streamline transportation for military applications.

#ICYMI: The Las Vegas Desert Dogs took their game beyond the field with a special visit to Nellis Air Force Base, where they connected with Airmen and students from Coral Academy for an unforgettable experience. Beyond the game, the Desert Dogs got a unique look at the mission of Nellis with a tour of the flight line and the Threat Training Facility, where they witnessed firsthand how Nellis prepares our nation's warfighters.
