Montreal will head into summer with 11 pedestrian streets in 7 neighborhoods totaling 6 miles, incorporating over 2,100 small businesses. The number of people visiting Montreal’s pedestrian streets has more than doubled since the program's expansion in 2021 in response to the pandemic as a way to get people outdoors and shopping at local small businesses again.
