Northeast Iowa Food Bank

Service is one of the four pillars of our mission, and we make sure our students understand that early in their first year. This week, all first-year students participated in the annual Pack the Backpack event organized by students in the Baldwin Leadership Fellows program. These bags of food were returned to the Northeast Iowa Food Bank and will go on to help children and families around the area.

A huge thank you goes out to Wartburg College and their students who helped set up, pack bags, and clean up! 7,640 bags were packed with food to support children facing food insecurity in northeast Iowa. Thank you, Wartburg!

The Northeast Iowa Food Bank's Student Food Drive is back this year from October 7th through November 8th! This year’s theme, “Hustle to End Hunger,” is inspired by the popular 1970s dance craze, adding a fun twist to this important cause. Each year, local schools come together in a friendly competition to collect food, funds, and volunteer hours to support families facing food insecurity.
