关于我们

The Consortium is a regional, non-profit, educational service agency established to provide cooperative services to member districts. It exercises no control over its clients, is non-regulatory, and has no taxing authority. Participation in programs and services through the Consortium is completely voluntary. Therefore, the Consortium is designed to be sensitive and responsive to the needs and desires of the school districts being served. The mission of the North East Florida Educational Consortium is to help member districts cooperatively meet their educational goals and objectives by providing programs and services that individual districts would not be able to provide as effectively or as economically when acting alone. The superintendents of member districts serve as the Board of Directors for the Consortium. They meet as a group each month with the Consortium staff for briefings and information. The Board sets policy, approves the budget, employs personnel, and provides direction by guiding the development of programs and services furnished by the Consortium. Their leadership and support are our greatest assets.

  • Collaboration in Action ?? NEFEC is one of three educational consortia in Florida. This week, we proudly hosted Donna Garcia, Executive Director, and Whitney McGee, Director, of the Heartland Educational Consortium as a part of the Tri-Consortia partnership. Together, we're working to strengthen Florida's small and rural school districts. Thank you both for stopping by - we always appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with our Tri-Consortia partners!

  • Administrators from NEFEC districts recently gathered for the second session of the School Leader Network. Lisa Lee, Columbia County’s Coordinator of Elementary Curriculum & Instruction and a former principal, led an engaging professional development session titled "Instructional Leadership: Unlocking Your Leadership Potential." During the session participants engaged in case studies using Bolman and Deal's Four Frame model of leadership, sparking rich discussions and idea-sharing on various educational topics. As part of their learning journey, the group is collectively reading The Power of Positive Leadership by Jon Gordon, which complements their professional growth. To close the day, educational leaders crafted impactful elevator speeches to effectively convey their leadership vision and mission.

  • Hurricane Helene Relief ?? Through the Resiliency Initiative, our team came together to support students and schools impacted by Hurricane Helene. 1,500 backpacks full of essential items are starting to end up in the hands of students in need. This week, we began delivering the backpacks to Hamilton, Lafayette, Columbia, and Suwannee counties, helping ensure students are equipped to remain resilient and move forward through rebuilding.
