It’s National Association of Women in Construction Week! Join us as we celebrate the incredible women in our industry and introduce some of our amazing members who are building the future! Meet Meg Johnson, a sales representative at Neenah Foundry, a NAWIC Milwaukee Chapter 105 board member, and today's featured WIC! Why you're a NAWIC Member: NAWIC has developed me personally and professionally and I most definitely wouldn't be where I am without this association. It's helped give me confidence, a sense of support and friendships I would've never had the chance to begin without the networking and conferences. I'm here to help answer questions and get future members involved! What you do at work:? I work in sales for a steel and cast iron products?supplier. Our main scopes are manhole frames and covers, as well as an array of drainage systems. I've been in this role for just over two years and enjoy being in the construction industry more than any career I've had before. Advice for women interested in entering the construction field: 1. Speaking up and holding your own will get you further than you think. 2. You can come from?just about any background and fit in the construction industry. I worked as a server for 11 years then decided one day I do this now so I'm living proof you can do just about anything if you put your mind to it. NO dream is ever too big? ? Something you've learned since joining the construction field: I'm stronger than I ever thought I could be. Favorite Candy: If we're talking candy candy, I have to go wild berry skittles but chocolate is going to have to be Reese's Easter eggs Worst Ice Cream Flavor: I have a love hate relationship with mint chocolate chip and unfortunately can't elaborate further. #NAWIC #WomenInConstruction #MeetOurMembers #wicweek #wicweek2025
