We are not with "The Bull" but coming out of the winter. For the last few months, the Blockchain industry has been warming up with optimism and some serious "big player" building and real revenue-generating or cost-saving partnerships. Sure, we can see some immediate heat in the market this week. While the Cryptocurrency speculators call out, "We are in the next Bull Market", those in the Blockchain industry know the technology is just getting started, and we know where and when the real "Alpha" for long-term sustainable growth is. I build and invest not trade. What I can feel in the last two weeks from my activities is that we have some flames under the pot, and it's about to start cooking. Think more of a "low-heat, long-cooked" dish with explosive flavours to savour when ready. Just be patient. The industry is laying down solid foundations today but will still experience some "macro-bombs" this year. In the second half of this year, those who placed themselves in position will reap the rewards as we smash our way into 2025. This time next year, we will be in a different, stronger place than the last "Bulls". DLT and Blockchain will be used across businesses and the survivors, and solid new entrants with real utility and great UI/UX that provide compelling solutions customer-facing with the tech in the backend hidden will shine. Google - CV Labs - Zurich Thanks to Benjamin J. Richter for sending me a direct message the other day and inviting me to an event he and his team, including Katharina Beck, hosted in Zurich with CV Labs. It was great to hear Google's perspective on supporting Blockchain and collaborating. Even though many consider Web3 the new decentralised internet to counter the centralised version Google is very much part of, we need to think that all the computers that are Blockchain nodes must be connected. Much of that data is sent across Google's global cable network, so they are core infrastructure. Benjamin, what are those stats again? Google also has great support for startups with a generous credit component. We had some great one-minute pitches from the CV Labs' latest accelerator cohort, including Shamba Records, which resonated with me due to my many years working within the African agricultural commodity sector, and an interesting panel talk. Many of you probably have a LinkedIn contact who is very much part of your professional world, but paths have yet to cross. Especially during COVID, many of us connected here on LinkedIn, and when we met, it was like you had met before. Sometimes, when that happens, you both "click", which occurred at this event with Kelly Vero. We had such a great time and unexpected. Then we were joined by Kinga Pilat, Daniela Lu?anin and Rui M., and things went to another level of fun. Look out for the new MEMECOIN ...
