Since launching in September 2023, the Nebraska Emergency Rental Assistance program has obligated more than $20 million, providing financial assistance to thousands of qualified, pandemic-impacted Nebraskans for past-due and future rent payments and past-due utility and internet payments. Assistance funds remain available but are being distributed quickly. Anyone in need of assistance should apply now at NebraskaRentHelp.org.

"The Nebraska Investment Finance Authority, the entity that administers both federal and state tax credit programs, awarded the latest batch of credits to nine planned developments that are on track to produce 383 new rental homes. #NIFA presented to the League of Nebraska Municipalities last week on our progress implementing the Nebraska Strategic Housing Framework. Landlords are seeing the impact of the Nebraska Emergency Rental Assistance program. Andy Marsh, owner of Keystone Properties, which manages about 650 properties, has worked with his tenants to make sure they’re aware of the program. Not only does the program help his tenants get caught up on past-due payments, it helps get them back on their feet during a tough time.
