Like many companies, Ndustrial's carbon emissions come mostly from our #supplychain. In particular, purchased goods and services represent the vast majority of our footprint at 78%. This includes a mix of Cost of Goods Sold, professional services, research & development, and other general and administrative expenses. Our total emissions are roughly average among comparable companies, and it is, of course, increasing as our company grows. While we have purchased offsets through high-quality projects in association with Greenplaces, we are on a continuous journey to understand and optimize our impact on the world, both positive and negative. If you are struggling with this, you're not alone. It's complex, difficult, and ever-changing. Even industry-leading clean tech companies struggle with it. What we can do: ?? Connect with each other ?? Share best practices and lessons learned ?? Keep the faith Comment below if you'd like to connect. We help companies measure, manage, and optimize their carbon footprint across all scopes through our Nsight Energy Intensity Platform and our Energy & IoT advisory services.

Ndustrial collected over 25,000 utility bills last year. However, a small percentage may be flagged as incomplete or missing at any given time, for a variety of reasons such as: ?? Timing of bills misaligned with calendar months ?? Meter data misaligned with bill data ?? Technical challenges like utility API interruptions Fortunately, there are ways to overcome missing data...
Learn how to maintain energy performance and carbon reporting compliance even when utility data is delayed or incomplete: ndustrial.io/missing-data/ When managing energy performance across multiple facilities, data gaps are inevitable. Utility bills arrive on different schedules, and some facilities have real-time metering while others rely solely on monthly bills. And if you operate globally, you deal with different currencies, different rates, and fragmented utility data. Yet, decision-makers need accurate, real-time Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to optimize operations. That’s where utility data estimation comes in. It works by: ?? Aligning billing data with calendar months for accurate reporting ?? Prioritizing the best available data sources (AMI, utility bills, or real-time metering) ?? Filling in missing or delayed utility bills with intelligent estimations ?? Handling currency conversions for global operations Why is this important? Among other reasons, CDP, GHG Protocol, and other sustainability reporting standards require transparency about data coverage and estimation methods. “For every hour a berry is out of temp spec you can lose a day of shelf life in a store” -Driscoll's And so many other great insights shared by Nomad Foods and others this week at #TPM25.
This week at the #TPM25 Conference in Long Beach, California, we gathered for an insightful Members’ Meeting, bringing together industry leaders to explore how temperature standards impact frozen food logistics. During our meeting, we discussed several key topics, including: ??Shawn Dohring from A.P. Moller - Maersk highlighting reefer transport challenges and upcoming trials ??Ariette Matser from Wageningen University & Research presenting their Frosteq project ??Sandy Brand from Nomad Foods emphasising the need for scientific data to ensure food safety at adjusted temperatures ??Gerwin Beukhof from Aviko sharing their sustainability commitments and long-term investments in reducing carbon emissions As more companies join the coalition, interest continues to grow in how even small temperature adjustments can drive significant financial and environmental savings. By working together and sharing real-world data, we’re building the foundation for a more energy-efficient and sustainable cold chain. A big thank you to all our members for their commitment to driving this movement forward! JOC.com #ColdChain #Innovation #SustainableSupplyChain #MoveToMinus15

$40,000 in savings at zero incremental cost: When working with a client, the Ndustrial team identified a period of compressor changeover wherein the operation of 2 compressors overlapped unnecessarily. This was causing a large spike in demand that resulted in unnecessarily high electric bills. This data was integrated from multiple Refrigeration Control Systems that included kW data, along with many other system operational parameters. Once this period of waste was identified, Ndustrial recommended changing the control parameters to assure the lead compressor was disabled before the lag compressor was energized. This was a simple field-conducted control adjustment with no capital costs. The client promptly made this adjustment, resulting in annual savings of over $39,000 in electricity demand charges. This was just one example of an energy savings opportunity identified through our hands-on approach. We'll be sharing more stories from the front lines of the energy transition, so stay tuned for more, and let us know what other types of #EnergyFinds you'd like to see!

Energy efficiency is not a buzzword. It's a time-tested path to competitiveness. ISO 50001 provides a proven framework for optimizing energy costs through continuous improvement in energy. There are 5 steps to a successful energy management program: 1?? Appoint an energy team 2?? Identify Significant Energy Users (SEUs) 3?? Establish a baseline 4?? Set goals 5?? Establish a continuous improvement process for energy Learn more at https://lnkd.in/euPihghK #WorldEnergyEfficiencyDay #EnergyEfficiencyDay #EnergyEfficiency World Energy Council #ISO50001 ISO - International Organization for Standardization

Thank you Charles Morris and CHARGED Electric Vehicles Magazine for describing how "companies across the cold supply chain can meaningfully cut costs and emissions without incurring any up-front cost”!
Nice to see folks talking about our efforts at Ndustrial. YMS isn't new and there are lots of really good ones on the market already. Electrification of TRUs require high utilization for the financial returns to work. We special purpose built this for the unique challenges of 3PL cold chain to stand alone but also integrate and play nicely with existing YMS technology. https://lnkd.in/eEGktEiQ

This year's #TPM25 theme, Finding Reliability in an Unreliable World, is extremely timely. "For shippers, hope that 2025 would settle down into a more normal year... has already begun to recede." And that angst is set against the reality that the #coldchain must find ways to expand its reach while maintaining reliability in order to bolster food security, reduce food waste, and increase supply chain resilience in the face of frequent disasters. "An improvement of the cold chain would save over 475M tonnes of food that could theoretically feed 950M people per year,” according to the International Institute of Refrigeration. We are excited to be participating in these discussions at the TPM25 container shipping conference and the #MoveToMinus15 events this week in Long Beach. Find Ndustrial co-founders Jason M. and John Crawford to talk supply chain energy optimization, temperature monitoring, and TRU #electrification. And don't miss sessions from Adam Forste of Lineage, Mathew Moore of Americold Logistics, LLC., Sara Goodman-Stickler, CAE of the Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA), Alfred B. Whitman of DP World, Bruce Marshall at A.P. Moller - Maersk, Leo Holt of Holt Logistics Corp., Thomas Eskesen of The Move to -15°C Coalition, and so many other great #supplychain leaders. https://tpm.joc.com/en/ We're unable to join the The International Institute of All-Natural Refrigeration's Natural Refrigeration Conference this year but look forward to continuing to contribute to that important community in the years to come as well. #NatRef
