Another great event, thank you all to those who support the NDTA JAX efforts to connect our student population with leaders in the Military and Defense Logistics space.

Last night, Nathan Brigance and I had the honor of attending the K9s For Warriors’ Salute to Heroes Gala. This event was especially meaningful as my best friend recently welcomed a new companion, Ben, into her life. I’ve witnessed Ben become the light she needed, filling a void that had been present for so long. Jennifer and I are not only best friends but also newly appointed board members of the NDTA North Florida Chapter. I’m proud to serve alongside her on a board that supports causes like K9s For Warriors, an organization truly saving lives at both ends of the leash. K9s For Warriors is dedicated to ending veteran suicide by providing highly-trained service dogs to military veterans suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injury, and military sexual trauma. Their mission is truly about saving lives at both ends of the leash. The bond between a warrior and their service dog is transformative, offering hope, purpose, and a renewed sense of belonging. Through their unwavering support, these service dogs empower our veterans to reclaim their lives and find peace amidst past challenges. I encourage everyone to support K9s For Warriors. Your contributions can make a tangible difference, ensuring more veterans experience the healing embrace of a service dog. Together, we can continue to save lives at both ends of the leash. NDTA JAX had the honor of dropping our yearly donation to K9s for Warriors on Friday. It was a special day as we also begin the transition to new Leadership for the 2025 NDTA JAX Chapter tenure with Jennifer Korecki taking the helm as President of our NDTA JAX Chapter (more to follow in the coming weeks). For today, I post these beautiful pictures of Amanda Collins, Jennifer Korecki, Jenn's Service Dog Ben, NDTA JAX's Past President Charlie Ward, and Paul, Ben's Trainer, who Ben had not seen in nearly a year (Ben didn't leave a sliver of light between himself and Paul the second he see saw him), and K9s new trainee Service Dog Tim T-bone (love that play on words for us local JAX folks!).
