I have to wholeheartedly agree with my friend Mark Brady and his comments below. Public Information Officers (PIOs) and communicators play a pivotal role in disseminating accurate and timely information during emergencies. Emergency training equips PIOs with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively communicate with the public and manage crisis situations...when the 5% takes over!
