?? ACTION ALERT! PROTECT OUR WATER! We have until October 21 at 11:59 PM MST to submit a public comment to protect Rapid City’s main source of drinking water. Just SEVEN days away! In March 2023, the US Forest Service, in coordination with the Bureau of Land Management, proposed a ‘Mineral Withdrawal’ that would protect over 20,000 acres of public land surrounding the Pactola Reservoir near Rapid City, SD. If approved, it would remove all future rights for mining, drilling, and exploration in the proposed area for up to 20 YEARS!! The ‘Mineral Withdrawal’ will preserve and protect the land for future generations and is a step towards returning lands to the rightful stewards, the Oceti Sakowin. ?? We need YOU to submit a comment to the U.S. Forest Service supporting the ‘Mineral Withdrawal’ proposal ASAP!
