We are pleased to announce that we are accepting applications for the 2025 CyberPowder Fellows Program! CyberPowder is an NSF-funded wireless networking hands-on training and research mentoring program for US-based graduate students. The Program addresses the problem that wireless experimental research is inherently multidisciplinary, crossing the EE and CS divide; that wireless networking is undergoing rapid technology and regulatory change; and that today’s wireless testbeds are highly sophisticated, which also means they require significant training to use. The Program is led by three professors across EE and CS at the University of Utah, Neal Patwari, Robert Ricci and Kobus van der Merwe,?with support from the POWDER platform technical staff. The Program trains students across the wireless stack to perform wireless related research on POWDER, the world’s largest openly-accessible software-defined wireless testbed. POWDER is deployed across the University of Utah campus in Salt Lake City and remotely accessible from anywhere in the world. For full consideration applications are due by November 29 2024. For more information, other important dates and the link to the application form please visit: https://lnkd.in/g5nzhgnb

Collaborative research and education to advance wireless technologies and radio spectrum access for the public good.
关于我们
The University of Notre Dame has a rich history in wireless technology research dating back to the 1800s. The esteemed faculty made strides in this field by conducting the first wireless transmission in the U.S. from the University's Basilica of the Sacred Heart to Saint Mary's College, spanning almost a mile. Since 2020, the university has utilized the faculty's expertise and mission to address interdisciplinary issues and positively impact the world. Notre Dame's wireless research encompasses a range of areas, including broadband and wireless internet access, power-efficient millimeter wave transceiver architectures, radio spectrum sensing and sharing, and the development of new applications for these technologies.
