I can’t believe it has been a year since the last time I applied for the NCWIT Aspirations in Computing High School Award! I was a Regional Affiliate winner in 2022, National Honorable Mention in 2023, and National Winner in 2024. The process of applying for this award pushed me to refine my ideas, challenge my theories, and execute my vision. Over the years, I have met so many great people in tech, peers that I look forward to networking and collaborating with as I grow in computer science. I highly recommend applying. Empowering Women in IT: Highlights from Last Night’s NEOhioCIO Inspiring Women Event ?? ??Last night, we brought together a group of talented and rising female professionals for an inspiring and insightful NEOhioCIO Inspiring Women event, led by Amy Brady, Chair of NEOhioCIO and CIO of KeyBank! ?? The evening was filled with meaningful conversations about the opportunities and challenges that women in technology face in today’s leadership pipeline. ?? Our special guests, Terry Hogan, CEO of NCWIT (National Center for Women & Information Technology) and Dr.Catherine Ashcraft (Director of Research at CU Boulder), led a powerful discussion on fostering inclusive cultures, tackling unconscious biases, and advocating for career advancement and leadership opportunities for women in IT. ??????????
