ISPE (International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering) is a global, not-for-profit, Membership organization that provides education, training, and technical publications to pharmaceutical manufacturing professionals. The Student Chapter at NC State is focused on increasing the awareness of employment opportunities in the health care industry. Our organization is oriented towards strengthening the relationship between local industry and college students. We believe that forums for the exchange of ideas and practical experience are excellent opportunities for both students and industry. The pharmaceutical industry requires a wide variety of talents to support one of the most technologically advanced process industries operating in the world today. Whether your training is in engineering, information technology, the biological and chemical sciences, management, law, language or literature, the pharmaceutical industry has a need for your expertise. Student Chapter events typically involve local pharmaceutical professionals, and represent an excellent opportunity for networking. Last night, we had the opportunity to co-host the BTEC Career Fair Prep Night. We were fortunate to have an incredible panel of alumni and experienced upperclassmen who answered our questions and provided valuable feedback on our résumés. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our panel and all the members who attended our first event of the semester. We truly appreciate everyone’s support of the ISPE NCSU Chapter.

Last Tuesday, ISPE had the honor of hosting a company dinner with Humacyte and had the incredible opportunity to learn more about how Humacyte brings innovative technology to the market using human cell lines. Our second company dinner with Amgen went amazing! The team’s presentation provided invaluable insights into the biotech industry and highlighted the exciting opportunities available for emerging professionals. Amgen, thank you for visiting the ISPE NCSU Student Chapter. We appreciate the time and effort dedicated to engaging with our members and offering industry knowledge and career guidance. This visit has strengthened our understanding of the industry and inspired the chapter as our members apply for internships, co-ops, and full-time positions!

Merck, thank you for coming out and teaching our students about the company and the MLD program. We appreciate you all taking the time to lobby and advise students for the upcoming career fair!

We are excited to announce that we will be kicking off the semester with Merck next Tuesday from 6-8PM in BTEC Room 135. Merck is a pharmaceutical company dedicated to innovation and supports patients on a global scale with blockbuster products like Keytruda and Gardasil. Merck has plenty of job opportunities that are opening and this event will address their Manfacturing Leadership and Development Program (MLDP). Presenting will be some representatives who have graudated from this program or are currently in it.
