?? Congrats to John Samuelian, Ph.D. for earning his?Professional Certificate in #Biomanufacturing Science from NC State BTEC ? We asked John how he will take what he learned at BTEC and apply this in his career. John replied, "The BTEC courses allowed me to receive the hands-on training with large-scale equipment and processes that better mimic the industrial processes of #biopharmaceutical manufacturing. Working for a #biopharma ingredient supplier, these experiences allow me to better understand where and how these ingredients are used, how to provide improved technical support, and gives me a deeper understanding of the processes which helps me in developing optimized ingredients in the future." John added that his favorite lab activity at BTEC was, "using the large-scale #chromatography skid for the purification of green fluorescent protein (GFP). Seeing that large quantity of GFP traveling through the all the tubing, being loaded onto the large column, and being eluted off the column into a collection bag was very fascinating to see." ?
