Stephanie Mrozek, PharmD, began working as a teenager in her family’s Hometown Pharmacy, which now has 12 locations across Ohio and Pennsylvania. After graduating from Duquesne University School of Pharmacy, she chose to work in her family’s business, helping expand its services beyond prescriptions to include assisted living support, adherence packaging, mental health services, and vaccinations. Actively engaged with her community, Stephanie supports initiatives with United Way and sponsors local programs, including a “Healthy Kids Vitamin Program.” Her journey highlights the importance of balancing patient care with business innovation in independent pharmacy. Stephanie shared that her membership with NCPA has allowed her to make valuable connections with other community pharmacists. On top of that, NCPA’s advocacy efforts have strengthened her optimism for the future of independent community pharmacy.
