As the longtime president of NCNW, she expanded educational and economic opportunities for Black women. Dr. Height also served as an advisor to multiple Presidential administrations while remaining deeply involved in the Civil Rights Movement. The Affordable Care Act (#ACA) marks a major milestone in ensuring that Americans have access to affordable healthcare. The ACA came at a pivotal time for millions who did not have coverage. People with preexisting conditions could not get coverage and many were in debt attempting to cover the medicine they needed. Let's work to give it a lifetime for all Americans!
