It's Prematurity Awareness Month and we're celebrating former patients like Brax who was born at 32 weeks and weighed only 4 lbs. Today, Brax is a thriving 5-year-old whose parents credit the care Brax received at The BirthPlace Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The BirthPlace NICU is the only neonatal intensive care unit in Collier County that provides state-of-the-art and compassionate family-centered, developmentally supportive care for premature and ill newborns.
