We are excited to share with you a unique piece of American maritime history – the USCGC Barque EAGLE! Known as “America’s Tall Ship,” the EAGLE has a storied past that spans both World War II and the present day, serving as a symbol of bravery, resilience, and the spirit of exploration. The EAGLE was originally commissioned by the German Navy in 1936, but was taken as a war prize by the United States following World War II. Since then, it has been a crucial training vessel for the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, offering cadets invaluable hands-on experience at sea. When not at sea, the EAGLE will be moored adjacent to the Museum, serving as a centerpiece that connects visitors to the proud traditions of the U.S. Coast Guard. We hope you are as inspired by EAGLE’s story as we are! #BarqueEagle #Eagle #Video #NCGMA #NationalCoastGuardMuseum? #NationalCoastGuardMuseumAssociation?

Thanks to the entire crew of the USCGC Barque Eagle Station for hosting the National Coast Guard Museum Association and local U.S. Coast Guard retirees for a wonderful evening receptiont while moored at Boston Station last week. The weather held up, the food was fantastic, and it's always a joy to meet with the cadets and see how bright our future will be. Thanks to all for supporting our mission to honor and preserve the history of the Coast Guard through funding and building the National Coast Guard Museum. We were also honored to be joined by the USS Constitution Museum! Susan Curtin Mark Walsh Wes Pulver Patti Fazio Craig Schroeder Jeff Creighton
