NCCS believes that policy change is essential to ensuring cancer survivors have access to quality cancer care. We represent the perspective of cancer survivors in public policy discussions, and we encourage and empower survivors to share their stories with policymakers.
关于我们
Founded by and for cancer survivors, the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship is a patient-centered organization that advocates for quality cancer care for all people touched by cancer. We drive patient-centered public policies to make cancer care the best possible for survivors—from the time of their diagnosis onward—and their loved ones. We represent the interests of cancer survivors to Congress, the federal government, policymakers, payers, providers, and others whose work affects people with cancer. We promote cancer care planning, at diagnosis and at key transition points during treatment and survivorship. We advocate for policies that improve the way our country delivers, regulates, and finances cancer care. We provide tools and information to help survivors be fully engaged in their care. More information is available at www.canceradvocacy.org or 1-888-650-9127.

Join Us for an Important Webinar on Clinical Trials & Patient Communication! Clinical trials drive cancer research forward, yet many patients miss out simply because they were never asked to participate. In NCCS’s 2024 State of Survivorship survey, 74% of patients who did not join a trial said they were never invited—highlighting a critical gap in communication. Join our expert panel as we explore the power of communication in clinical trial participation—how oncologists can foster better conversations, address concerns about eligibility and side effects, and ensure all patients have access to cutting-edge treatments. ?? Protect Medicaid. Protect Cancer Survivors. The House of Representatives will this week consider a budget resolution that instructs the House Energy and Commerce Committee to reduce spending by $880 billion. Most of those cuts are expected to come from Medicaid. Cuts of this magnitude would have a devastating impact on the 80 million Americans enrolled in Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) nationwide. We urge the House of Representatives to protect Medicaid coverage and ensure that millions of Americans can rest assure they will have access to care through Medicaid. Congressional leaders are considering devastating cuts to Medicaid funding that would put access to cancer care at risk for millions of cancer survivors, including those currently in treatment. For these cancer patients, Medicaid is a lifeline. Together, we can show Congress just how critical Medicaid is to the cancer community. We hope you’ll join us and advocate to ensure Congress protects Medicaid. #ProtectMedicaid #ProtectCancerSurvivors.
