That's a wrap on Day 2 of #NCCRT2024! This afternoon, we shone a light on disparities in #ColorectalCancer screening among Asian Americans, discussing barriers and solutions to reach these communities. We also had a chance to learn from the successes of four diverse community organizations and health systems across the nation that are using public awareness strategies to promote #CRCScreening. It was energizing to hear the perspectives of our attendees as we explore how we can amplify our impact across the #CRC continuum beyond our historical focus on screening. The American Cancer Society National Colorectal Cancer Roundtable, established by the American Cancer Society (ACS) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in 1997, is a national coalition of: - Public Organizations - Private Organizations - Voluntary Organizations, and - Invited Individuals Dedicated to reducing the incidence of and mortality from colorectal cancer in the U.S., through coordinated leadership, strategic planning, and advocacy. The ultimate goal of the ACS NCCRT is to increase the use of proven colorectal cancer screening tests among the entire population for whom screening is appropriate. The ACS NCCRT is one of the American Cancer Society’s six mission-critical national roundtables. On Day 1 of #NCCRT2024, we explored the latest #ColorectalCancer screening trends, reviewed current and emerging #CRC detection test technologies, and dove deep into key screening data sets that inform how we are doing as a nation with our efforts to reach #80inEveryCommunity. In our Strategic Priority Team Workshops, we engaged with members and roundtable leadership to share best practices, identify opportunities, and brainstorm around activities to support our shared goals. Kudos to the #NCCRT2024 Planning Committee for an excellent first day!??
