NC4K is honored to announce that the?Sam?Bish?Foundation will be merging with NC4K’s support services for families facing a pediatric cancer diagnosis in Ohio. Founded in memory of?Sam, who passed away due to complications from osteosarcoma at the age of nine, the?Sam?Bish?Foundation offers childhood cancer families financial assistance, emotional support gifts, and moments of joy and community at events like their annual?Bish?Bash. NC4K is committed to continuing The?Sam?Bish?Foundation’s mission of giving a voice to all kids battling pediatric cancer. Read the full press release below:

On Saturday we hosted the 2024 Reindeer Run presented by Chick-fil-A Restaurants Columbus at the The National Veterans Memorial and Museum. More than 500 participants took part in the Kids' Fun Run, Santa Stroll, and 5K and enjoyed music from RadioU, wonderful food from Danny's Delicious Deli and Chick-fil-A Columbus, a beautiful tribute from Brody who played the bagpipes, a procession led by Hope on the snare drum, and the opportunity to create priceless memories at our Rooftop Reindeer Party. We would like to thank everyone who donated, volunteered, attended, or supported this year's race for joining us in ensuring No Kid Fights Cancer Alone.

On Sunday, we hosted our Reindeer Games Holiday Party at Scene75 Entertainment Center. With over 125 families in attendance, more than 800 people had a fun day filled with games, crafts, go-kart rides, mini golf, laser tag, breakfast, and more! Thanks to the support of our generous donors, 68 families were adopted through our Adopt-A-Family program. There were numerous items that were taken home through trips to the Elf Shop, where kids could find gifts for their parents, and trips to the Santa Shop, where parents could find gifts for their kids. We would like to extend a special thank you to Young + Wild Balloon Co for the beautiful balloons, Baci Booths for the wonderful photo booth, Sitting Made Simple for their expertise and peace of mind for parents while they shopped for their kids, and Jay Thompson for helping to capture the magical moments through your photography. We would also like to thank our donors, volunteers, and everyone who supported this event in any way!

Jean Schodde passed away in late 2023 and left a planned gift for NC4K, which Debbie, Jean's cousin and executor of the estate, anticipates will amount to over $60,000. We learned that Jean’s decision to make this generous gift came after talking with Debbie's grandson, NC4K Hero Aiden, and learning about his meaningful experiences with NC4K.
