Meet Sgt. Darrell O. Fisher: American Education Week Nov. 18-22 ?? ?? Hometown: Rich Square, #NorthCarolina ???? Unit: 1452nd Combat HET Transportation Company ?? Joined: 2014 As an #educator and service member, Sgt. Fisher wanted to become part of something bigger and give back while furthering his education. “I’ve been teaching various subjects for 9 years and coaching football and basketball”, said Fisher. Some of his favorite moments in service have been working alongside a diverse group of individuals and embracing different experiences. Fisher has also participated in #StatePartnershipProgram missions, where he was able to introduce and explain the importance of our equipment. Meeting soldiers from other countries was a highlight, as it allowed him to learn from them and strengthen #NCNG partnerships. He adds that this observance (American Education Week) is a way to honor and recognize the achievements of those who serve and pave the way. Currently, he is teaching in #Charlotte, NC, at #Albemarle Road Middle School. #AmericanEducationWeek #NCNG #NationalGuard
