Currently our largest outreach program, our Mobile Free Pharmacy (MFP) team members travel each week across the state of North Carolina distributing Over the Counter medicine. The NC MedAssist team members along with volunteers from the local community, work to not only distribute OTC medicine/products, they also invite other safety-net organizations onsite to help identify other social determinants of health gaps such as food insecurity, transportation, etc. Collaboration has grown this program over the years –serving more than 39,000 families and individuals this past fiscal year. Medication access is a?critical issue that affects thousands of NC residents. We are incredibly thankful for our continued partnership with Triangle North Healthcare Foundation, which has made a significant impact over the years. Since 2013, TNHF has helped to provide 1,269 patients in Franklin, Granville, Vance, and Warren counties with a staggering 53,677 90-day filled prescriptions valued at $20,582,771. Additionally, TNHF has helped to host 17 mobile over-the-counter (OTC) medicine distribution events, serving an additional 13,422 area residents. We are grateful for TNHF's?support in improving medication access for our communities. Together, we can continue to positively impact the lives of our neighbors.

Our OTC Free Store offers over-the-counter medicines to those that need it, free of charge! In FY24, the store served over 11,000 participants from the Charlotte area and beyond. From cough syrup to vitamins and Covid-19 tests to walkers, we are stocked and ready to serve each Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
