Great weather out there today in the North Central Section (although nice weather during March in MN is all relative), reminds me of the great weather that our Young Member Group had on their ice-skating get together a few weeks ago... so nice they had no ice! They made due with cold beverages and comradery instead. Stay tuned for more great events coming down the pipeline (but with our luck, it'll probably end up snowing for our bike ride this summer!) Great work setting this up from our YMC chairs Olivia Polinsky-Rose and Blake Andert! Great Lakes District of ITE ITE—A Community of Transportation Professionals

Thanks to all who braved the frigidity and showed up to our Section meeting last week at Mndot Water’s Edge. (The weather feels like a whole different time of year since then!) Khani Sahebjam had us all in the palm of his hand with a discussion on the state of industry, professional development, and more. And thanks to Alliant Engineering, Inc. for sponsoring! We’re excited for more upcoming meetings later this year (in addition to patio weather).

Embrace the cold weather with the YMC next Monday 2/24! They're going to Wooden Hill Brewery for a Happy Hour to warm themselves up (or in my case, to preemptively combat the bruises from falling) before an evening of ice-skating after at Centennial Lakes. Reach out to Chairs Olivia Polinsky-Rose and Blake Andert if you're interested. You can find more info here https://lnkd.in/dTjkAiVx

The next ITC Committee Meeting is a Border Battle at Border! Join us at the City of Minneapolis Border Office (or remotely) as we host Jerry Schippa, PE from the City of Madison as he talks about some of the innovative work he's been implementing at their traffic signals to maximize operations for all users. MN vs WI rivalry aside, we're extremely excited to have this discussion happening and we'd love for you to be a part of it. The meeting will be from 8-10AM CST on February 10th, and will have a virtual option for folks that can be there in person from near or far. If you're interested in more or want to get on the list for this and future emails, let committee chairs Tyler Krage, PE, PTOE (he/him) and Michael Odell know! https://lnkd.in/gwvXP5vg Great Lakes District of ITE
