DEFTECH connects the NC Innovation Ecosystem with federal innovation outreach offices to meet emerging requirements.
关于我们
The North Carolina Defense Technology Transition Office, or DEFTECH, is a state-funded entity of the N.C. Military Business Center. Through education, outreach, networking, and liaison, DEFTECH enables elements of the N.C. Innovation Ecosystem to address complex national security problems. DEFTECH Value Proposition DEFTECH connects the North Carolina Innovation Ecosystem (business, university, community college, public/private partnerships, investors, and North Carolina military bases) with emerging and urgent technology requirements across the DoD and Homeland Security to provide optimum solutions for DoD warfighters, DHS, and law enforcement personnel. DEFTECH serves as a connector or liaison between three essential components: 1. Federal urgent and emerging needs that require innovative, cutting edge solutions 2. Federal outreach offices 3. N.C. Innovation Ecosystem DEFTECH focuses on Technology Transition, which is the process by which technology deemed to be of significant use to the operational military community is transitioned from a science and technology or a commercial off-the-shelf (COTs) innovation into a funded prototype, tested by DoD, and then added as a modification to an existing program of record. These opportunities often use an Other Transaction Authority (OTA) acquisition process and usually are not listed on the official government acquisition announcement websites. DEFTECH keeps you informed on emerging requirements and Broad Agency Announcements (BAA) from across DoD, DHS, and other federal agencies.
