??Great news for Nova Scotia and New Brunswick! Today, the Canada Infrastructure Bank announced $217 in equity financings to help build a new transmission line linking Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. This is the CIB's first project equity investment. The 160km, 345-kV line will run beside the existing connection between Onslow and Salisbury and will help utilities support more renewable energy generation, among other benefits. Construction of the line is expected to be completed in fall 2028. The CIB is also working with Wskijinu’k Mtmo’taqnuow Agency Ltd., owned by the 13 Mi’kmaw First Nations in NS, to complete a complimentary equity loan. ??Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gN3P4AGS
